iubenda or Gatelamp? How they compare.
iubenda is a cookie banner, policy generator and consent log you can use today, priced per site and by pageviews. Gatelamp is in development and starts by asking which of your sites need a banner at all.
iubenda’s plans and features as shown on their own site on 21 October 2026.
Pick iubenda if you need a banner today, sell ads that need IAB TCF, or want your privacy and cookie policies from the same account. Pick Gatelamp if you run many sites, want to know which ones need a banner at all, and want consent records without IP addresses. Gatelamp isn’t open yet; the waitlist gets the early price.

Where iubenda is strong
- Available today, with a free plan for sites under 5,000 pageviews a month.
- A Google-certified CMP Partner and an IAB-validated CMP, with IAB TCF on every paid plan and Google Consent Mode v2 on every plan.
- A privacy and cookie policy generator with 2,400+ ready-made clauses, plus terms and conditions from the Advanced plan.
- Plugins for WordPress, Joomla!, PrestaShop and Magento, and integrations with Shopify and Google Tag Manager.
Where Gatelamp is different
- Priced per workspace and never per pageview, so more visitors don’t raise the bill.
- A scan of every site shows which ones need a banner. Sites that load nothing needing consent get none.
- Runs from your own domain as a web component of around 12 kB, so a strict security policy can stay.
- Consent records hold a random ID, the choice per category and the banner version, and no IP addresses.
Gatelamp vs iubenda: common questions
- Is Gatelamp cheaper than iubenda?
- We can’t say yet, because Gatelamp’s prices follow before it opens. The model is different: Gatelamp charges per workspace, monthly, and never per pageview. iubenda charges per site, from €4.99 a month billed yearly for up to 25,000 pageviews, plus €0.05 for every 1,000 pageviews above that. Everyone on the Gatelamp waitlist gets the early price.
- Can I move from iubenda to Gatelamp?
- Gatelamp isn’t open yet. When it is, add your sites and the scanner visits each one before a choice, after “Reject all” and after “Accept all”, so you see what every site loads. Common tools are already described in the shared library. Ask us in the chat about your setup.
- Does Gatelamp support IAB TCF, like iubenda?
- Not at launch. iubenda includes TCF on every paid plan, which matters for sites that sell personalised ads through Google AdSense or Ad Manager. Gatelamp supports Google Consent Mode v2 for Analytics and Ads from day one.
- What does each tool keep as proof of consent?
- iubenda’s log stores a random six-character ID, a timestamp and the visitor’s IP address for each consent. Gatelamp keeps a random consent ID, the site, the choice per category, how and when it was made and the banner version. It never stores IP addresses.
