Compare · Gatelamp vs Usercentrics

Usercentrics or Gatelamp? Here’s the difference.

Usercentrics is a certified consent platform you can use today, priced by sessions and domains. Gatelamp is in development, built for people with many sites, and shows which of them need a banner at all.

Usercentrics’s plans and features as shown on their own site on 21 October 2026.

The short version

Pick Usercentrics if you need a certified CMP today, run personalised ads through IAB TCF, or want your banner in up to 60 languages. Pick Gatelamp if you’d rather pay per workspace than by sessions and domains, and want every site, with or without a banner, in one dashboard. Gatelamp isn’t open yet; the waitlist gets the early price.

Where Usercentrics is strong

  • Available today, with a free plan for one domain under 1,000 sessions a month and a 14-day trial of every plan.
  • A Google-certified and IAB-certified CMP, with Google Consent Mode v2 on every plan and IAB TCF from Pro.
  • Banner text in up to 60 languages, shown in the visitor’s browser language.
  • 2,200+ templates for third-party services, and integrations for WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, TYPO3 and more.

Where Gatelamp is different

  • Every site in one dashboard with a status lamp each, and one shared library: describe a tool once and every site uses it.
  • Sites that load nothing needing consent get no banner, and still get a cookie page and weekly scans.
  • Runs from your own domain as a web component of around 12 kB, so a strict security policy can stay.

Gatelamp vs Usercentrics: common questions

Is Gatelamp cheaper than Usercentrics?
We can’t say yet, because Gatelamp’s prices follow before it opens. The model is different: Gatelamp charges per workspace, monthly, and never per pageview. Usercentrics charges by sessions and domains, from €7 a month for one domain and 1,500 sessions, and moves you to a bigger plan when you pass the limit. Everyone on the Gatelamp waitlist gets the early price.
Can I move from Usercentrics to Gatelamp?
Gatelamp isn’t open yet. When it is, add your sites and let the scanner show what each one loads before and after a choice. Common tools are already described in the shared library, so you only write what’s yours. Ask us in the chat about your setup.
How do Usercentrics and Gatelamp handle many sites?
Usercentrics counts domains per plan: one up to Plus, 3 on Pro and 10 on Business, and a subdomain counts as its own domain. Gatelamp puts every site in one dashboard with a status lamp each and one shared library of tools. Sites without a banner still count as a site, and the plan is to make them cheap.
Does Gatelamp support IAB TCF, like Usercentrics?
Not at launch. Usercentrics has IAB TCF from its Pro plan, which matters for sites that sell personalised ads through Google AdSense or Ad Manager. Gatelamp supports Google Consent Mode v2 for Analytics and Ads from day one.
